The Kokeshi Collection
Kokeshi Collection - Private Archive

I have been building a personal collection of authentic Japanese kokeshi dolls - quiet objects of form, spirit, and craftsmanship - handturned from wood and shaped by generations of makers in the Tōhoku region of Japan.

This website presents a curated selection of my top dolls, documented in a dedicated catalog with full photography, signatures, sizes, and notes. Beyond this first curated edition, my archive currently includes 200+ kokeshi, forming a growing private collection focused on both traditional and creative works, preserved with care and respect.

If you are a collector, curator, dealer, or cultural institution, I welcome serious conversations about exhibitions, acquisitions, and long-term collaboration.
